Active Development

Kor OS

An experimental operating system initiative built in public.

Kor OS is an ongoing exploration into low-level software development, operating system fundamentals, and AI-assisted engineering.

The project is intentionally ambitious. Its purpose is not just to produce working software, but to document the process of learning, building, failing, iterating, and occasionally achieving technical progress.

Project Goals

  • Understand OS fundamentals through practice
  • Explore Rust in systems programming
  • Document the full process publicly
  • Build a recognizable flagship project for Korbang Systems

Current Status

Phase 1: Foundational research and early implementation

Initial work includes tooling setup, language familiarization, architecture research, and first experiments in kernel-related development.

Progress will be measured in breakthroughs, confusion, and the total number of times the system refuses to boot for character-building purposes.

Follow Development

More projects coming soon. We're currently focused on building the future of systems software.
